DIY | Floor to Ceiling Shower Curtains

In my opinion, this is one of the most impactful DIYs you can do. Having a shower curtain that goes all the way to the ceiling instantly updates your bathroom & makes the room feel 10x bigger (and expensive). Unfortunately, finding 9 ft shower curtains and liners is almost impossible so I decided I would just do it myself. Let’s get started shall we…

I decided to recycle curtains from our old house | here | they were just a little too short so I had to rip the seams and resew them. Our rescue pup, Aspen, was no help at all…
Sewing straight lines is THE most boring thing you will ever do! I listened to a Risen Motherhood podcast (check them out here) & watched Friends…again
I ordered a 96in x 72in shower curtain plastic liner & cut it in half | Trust me when I say, you CANNOT find an extra long shower liner in the store so save your time, tank of gas and order one here
Since the shower liner & the curtains needed different hardware I just ordered the curtain rings with the clippy thingys (scientific name) | you can get them here
Since 9ft shower curtains are heavier than the standard 6ft ones, go ahead and use extra curtain rings | I used 7 on each half
You can use a normal shower curtain rod to hang your curtains, but I decided to just use a rod that we recycled from our old living room | Carson, my husband, used hooks to hang it from the ceiling
Since this is the bathroom that guest will be using, I gathered all of the travel toiletries we’ve collected & put them in an apothecary jar | get a similar one here | Its a perfect way to display them without cluttering a drawer

Thanks so much for stopping by! If you try this DIY be sure to tag me on Instagram & Facebook, I’d LOVE to see your version! If you have any questions leave them in the comments.
